DEMCO model DS1 spindle is especially designed
for DEMCO E-96 2-speed grinders. It is
precision-machined by our craftsman to extremely
high tolerances to insure quiet operation and
long life. We also repair this spindle (specify
part S15).
INSTRUCTIONS TO ADJUST COLLET The collet
is what holds the mandrel of the grinding
instrument in the spindle. The spacer at the
rear of the collet includes a fine adjustment
screw. If the collet does not tighten firmly
around the mandrel – follow these directions:
With collet in open position only, insert the
hex wrench through the collet nose. Turn hex
wrench slightly clockwise to make collet tighter
– counter clockwise to loosen. Caution: A
mandrel must always be in place when closing the
collet.
